How are teams ranked on Jazba?
Jazba uses an ELO-based ranking system. Every match result affects both teams' scores: winning earns points, losing loses them. The amount gained or lost depends on the strength of the opponent: beating a stronger team earns more, losing to a weaker one costs more. Full ELO rankings are being rolled out as the platform grows.
Are there separate rankings for different formats?
Yes. Teams are ranked separately for 5-a-side (futsal), 7-a-side, and 11-a-side football. A team can play multiple formats and hold different rankings in each.
How often are rankings updated?
Rankings update after every completed fixture. Once a match result is confirmed, both teams' scores recalculate immediately.
Can a new team enter the rankings?
Yes. Any team registered on Jazba starts at a baseline ELO score. Their first few tournament results will quickly establish their ranking relative to others.
